ASSESSMENT AND PROMOTION CRITERIA
PHASE-2 (Grade 1 to 5)
In Primary, we foster the development of each student’s linguistic, cognitive, personal, reasoning, problem-solving, social, emotional, physical, inquiry, creative, and imaginative skills. Our curriculum is child-centered, activity-based, experiential, and art-integrated. We create a safe, joyful, and intellectually stimulating learning environment, offering ample opportunities for children to become active, independent learners who take ownership of their learning journey.
Assessments in the Primary track monitor students’ knowledge, understanding, application, and higher-order thinking (HOT) skills. They are conducted periodically throughout the school year, with results shared with parents. List of subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Social studies, MSCS, Arabic, Islamic Education/Skills for life, Second language – Hindi/ Malayalam/French/Tamil, ICT, Health & Physical Education, Art/ Dance/Music and Library.
Assessment – Grade 3 to 5

P.S: Students must not be absent for two consecutive examinations of the
same subject withina term (e.g., PT1 and PT2 Such student(s) will be
marked absent.
Grading System
Co-Scholastic areas and discipline will be graded on a 3-point scale which will be reflected in the report card.
- Co-Scholastic activities: For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale. Regularity, participation and collaboration will be generic criteria for grading in ICT, Music, Art, Dance, and Physical Education.
- Discipline: The students will be graded for discipline (e.g., behavior, values, turnout, respect for people and rules, attitude, etc.). Grading will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale.
Co-Scholastic Areas and Discipline
Co-Scholastic areas and discipline will be graded on a 3-point scale which will be reflected in the report card.
Co-Scholastic Activities

Criteria for Proficiency Award:
Students must secure an overall result of A1 grade in all the subjects including Information Technology.
Criteria for Commendation Certificates:
Students must secure a minimum of A1 and A2 grades in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, MSCS, Second Language, and Arabic.
Grade 3
